As The Trump Org implodes, The Trump Tower continues to stand erect on a swanky block of New York’s 5th Avenue. The brassy, obnoxiously branded skyscraper is the home of the Trump Org, the Trump 2024 campaign, and the former location of The Apprentice. It is also the longtime home of Donald Trump, whose all gold everything apartment has a rumored gold plated toilet. 

Built in 1983, Trump’s apartment inspo was The Palace of Versaille and a Saudi Arabian Billionaire’s apartment Trump once admired. At the time of completion, the design was mocked as being “garish, gaudy, nouveau riche” and dubbed “Dictator chic.” British House & Garden headlined their review with “The Monstrosity that is Donald Trumps’ gold apartment.”
